ShaTranj only breed Dogos that qualifies according to the original standards of the breeder, Dr, Antonio Norez Martinez.
All breeding dogs adhere to the conformation standards. Furthermore, we believe that the character and the willingness to work, are extremely important features in what is seen as a medium to large working breed.
Puppies are carefully monitored over the entire period from birth to final homing. Only puppies adhering to our strict standards are registered.

All puppies are BAER tested, microchipped and KUSA registered.

Aspiring Dogo owners are scrutinized on the following:

• Previous experience with large and/or working dogs

• Affordability (the capital expenditure on a dog only starts with the buying of the pup - food, veterinary costs etc. has to be taken into account)

• Yard Suitibility (Dogos are active, intelligent and problem solving - this means the areas where they are kept, must be of adequate space, safely fenced and of suitable nature for daily needs)

• As responsible breeders, ShaTranj maintain the right to refuse any potential buyer that has a record of animal abuse/neglect, or the inability to properly and safely take care of a large working breed like the Dogo.

Breeding Rights

• Pups sold with breeding rights, offer the owner the opportunity to register future offspring with KUSA

• This will be be indicated on the registration certificate

• These pups will also come at a premium

• Pups may be registered and sold without breeding rights. These dogs may still be used to breed, but on the registration certificate "No Breeding Rights" will be specified and offspring will not be able to become KUSA registered.

• Pups with defects (deafness, to much colouration etc), will be neutered and become available as pet quality animals.
